26th edition of « Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France » contest

Who will be the next chefs with a tri-colored collar?

Symbol of excellence recognized throughout the world, the tri-colored collar sported by the winners of the contest “Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” attests of their technical skills and creative spirit.

For the 26th contest, the 29 candidates in pastry and confectionery arts came to Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Patisserie to take the semi-final, from January 22 to 25.

Each candidate had to create in a given time a complete buffet composed of:

  • A cake
  • A chocolate bar
  • A “signature” entremets
  • A savory dish
  • Two small cakes
  • A danish
  • An artistic piece

All while respecting one of the four imposed themes: Wedding, Easter, Birthday or Gourmandise.

The results of the semi-final will be announced at the end of the month and the final will take place in October 2018.
